#302 - Yellow and Pink Fish Wall Pocket - $58

What a wonderful, and useful, fish wall pocket.  It is a wall plaque and a planter.  You can sit it on a counter or you can hang it on the wall.  There are no chips or cracks on the piece.  It has the number 216 inkmarked on the back and is 7" tall.

#301 - Fish Towel Holder - $75

This is a really unique piece you don't see every day, it is a vintage fish towel holder.  All you need to do is get the ring that goes thru the hole on the bottom.  The piece 5.5" tall and is in wonderful condition.  There a few very tiny chips around the holes but they are covered when you hang it on the wall (you need screws with heads).  This will really add the complete nautical decor to your bath!

#300 - CNC Whale set - $250

Very rare CNC mermaid Wall plaque.  This set is similar to the Norcrest whale set but this CNC set is more rare.  The colors were made to go with the CNC mermaid.  The condition is wonderful - no chips or cracks.  Refer to my Mermaidmania website for a picture of the whales and mermaid together.  I will include the bubbles if you get both sets - they were to another set but they go with this set perfectly.

#300 - CNC Mermaid with Harp - $250

Very rare 5" CNC mermaid Wall plaque.  This mermaid is very hard to find and she is in great shape without any chips or cracks!  Refer to my Mermaidmania website for a picture of the whales and mermaid together.  I will include the bubbles if you get both sets - they were to another set but they go with this set perfectly.

#299 - Japan Ceramic Seahorse on Seawood - $39

This 5" seahorse wall plaque most likely was made in Japan around the 50's.  It looks very similar to the Miller Studio seahorse and after war when the tarrif was lifted on Japan imports, Japan copied a lot of the US products.  It is in excellent condition, the colors are vibrant and there are no chips or cracks.

#298 - Ceramic Yellow Fish - $39

This 5" fish wall plaque most likely was made in Japan around the 50's.  It looks very similar to the Miller Studio fish and after war when the tarrif was lifted on Japan imports, Japan copied a lot of the US products.  It is in excellent condition, the colors are vibrant and there are no chips or cracks.

#297 - Norcrest 3 Mermaids with Fish set - $375

Here we have one of the most sought after mermaid sister sets, the Norcrest mermaid sisters with their pet fish. At first glance this may seem a high price but when you consider most of these sets have been broken up during the years, it is very rare to find the three original ones that were made as the set together. Buying them individually can result in different skintones and different shades of the blue tailfin color. You have to remember that these were made to sell in dimestores back in the 50's so different batches have different saturation of color. There is a blonde, brunette and redhead. The attention to details on this set are just wonderful and shows why Norcrest was among the leaders of fine quality ceramics in the 40's and 50's. Each one has the P-659 inkmark on the back.  There are no chips or cracks.

#296 - Mermaid Salt and Pepper Shakers - $49

This is a darling set of mermaid salt and pepper shakers.  They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.  Neither has a stopper but you can get those at a hobby store for a couple bucks.  They look cute just for display too.  I used them as shelf sitters and just put a fake flower on the top of their head.  They looked cute with that daisy on their head.  :)  Please note there is a brown line on the mermaid's  arm to the left.  That was grime left over from when I got them.  I missed it when cleaning them and now it's gone.  No chips or cracks.

#295 - Kelvin Winnie the Whale Good Luck Rings & Things Holder - $125

I love this and it's hard to give up.  I didn't even have the heart to take off the tag when I got her since rarely do you see one of these nautical pieces with the original tags still on them.  There is a tiny bit of paint wear on the black on the fins but I'm not even sure it wasn't made that way because it hasn't been used.   This is a real treasure! It is made by Kelvin and still retains the Kelvin sticker on the back.  Winnie wishes you Good Luck!

#294 - Lobster and Crab Salt and Pepper Shakers - $25 for both

I don't usually sell a lot of salt and pepper shakers but I bought a few in a lot with other things.  I don't know poot about salt and pepper shakers if they aren't mermaids.  However, I do know these are real old by the design, paint used, and the bottoms of the pieces.  There are a lot of manufacturing flaws on the orange fish but they are so striking - the orange color is such a beautiful shade and they just scream vintage.  The crabs are, well, just so dang cute!  They have JAPAN inkmarked on the bottom.

#293 - Norcrest Mermaid & Merboy on Swans - $110 and $100

I am selling these separately.  The one on the left is a cute mermaid with pink tail sitting on a swan.  The one on the right is a merboy sitting on a swan.  The merboy still retains his Norcrest label.  Both have the Norcrest inkstamped number P978 and are free from chips or cracks.  The only thing I can point out is that on the merboy's face that is facing the wall, there are some paint splatters.  This was done in the manufacturing process and couldn't be in a better place, they are hard to see because they are on the side facing the wall.  I reduced his price a bid for those splatters.

#292 - Freeman-McFarlin Soap Dish/Planter - $150

You have probably seen this design alot but this one is the gal that started it all.  She is the only one that was made by a manufacturer, all the rest you see were made by individuals.  Anthony Freeman designed some beautiful, unique mermaids and over the years every one of them has been remade by mold companies for individuals to make.  But there is nothing like the original.  She has a pink tailfin with a lot of gold on it.  The dish can be used to hold soap and her back is open for a plant or even to put some finger towels in.  The body is matte and her tailfin and dish are gloss. Freeman-McFarlin never put lipstick or rouge on their ladies.  The beauty is in the simplicity of the piece.  She has no chips or cracks, just a little paint wear on the bisque, which is to be expected of one of these 50 year old pieces that doesn't have a gloss coating.  Freeman McFarlin's copyright is engraved in the bottom with the year 1958.

#291 - Majestic Pearl Finish Seahorse Wall Plaque - $65

This is a gorgeous 7" tall seahorse wall plaque.  It is the same shape as the Enesco and Kelvin seahorse but those manufacturers made the sets in a 3-color combination.    He has a pretty mother of pearl finish and then a little gold on the top of his head and on his fin.  What's different about this seahorse is that his neck up is off the wall and you can see the other eye if you look at him from the side!  (see the big pictures where I show the back of him)   No chips or cracks.  He goes with the set below but I have split them up because people often like this one majestic seahorse by himself.

#290 - Mom and Baby Pearl Finish Seahorse Wall Plaques - $55

This is a gorgeous mom and baby seahorse wall plaque.  It is the same shape as the Enesco and Kelvin seahorse set but those manufacturers made the sets in a 3-color combination.  They have a pretty mother of pearl finish and then a little gold on the top of their heads and on the fins.  What's different about this seahorse set is that their necks are up is off the wall and you can see the other eye if you look from the side!  (see big pictures where I show the back of the set)  No chips or cracks.  They go with the set above but I have split them up because people often like one large seahorse or a mom/baby set.

#289 - Seahorse Family of 3 - $130

Cute Seahorse set made in Japan - there used to be a red silver sticker saying Made in Japan, but that is long gone now.  The set consists of dad 7", mom 6" and baby 3" tall.  They are very vibrant in yellow, green orange and in excellent shape with no chips and cracks.

#288 - Enesco Mermaid with Yellow Tailfin - $125

This mermaid is a hoot!  She is 6.5" tall and made by Enesco, the label is still on the back with the number E-8982.  I'm not sure what she is made out of.  She is hollow with holes for hanging but it looks like she is a combination of ceramic and chalkware material as she doesn't have that glossy shine ceramic does.  At any rate she sure is cute.  A friend gave her to me and I had never seen her before so she must be quite rare.

#287 - Tiny 3" Freeman-McFarlin Fish - $8

Pretty cream/yellow and black Freeman-McFarlin Angel Fish.  This is a neat tiny fish that is only 3" tall.  The Freeman-McFarlin label is still on the back.  There is a little chip on the end of the bottom fin so that's why the low price.  If you buy something else, I can slip this in the package for no additional shipping charge.

#286 - Lefton ESD Mermaid - $125

This is a gorgeous mermaid.  The coloring on her tail is so retro shabby chic!  Lefton made this mermaid in the US and they made some in Canada.  The ones made in Canada are a little larger and face the front more.  This is one of the rare ESD Canada ones.  She originally came with a pearl chain glued to her hand that had small seahorses at the end.  I removed that as I thought it cheapened the look of this elegant mermaid.  How I displayed her was by putting a bubble by her outstretched arms.  She is a gorgeous mermaid and so soft looking as she has is a porcelain bisque rather than a glossy finish.  The mermaid is 6" tall with no chips or cracks.

#285 - Vintage Japan Mermaid in Pink - $115

This is a sweet blonde mermaid wall plaque with a pink tailfin made in Japan.  This mermaid was actually made by ESD Lefton, Kelvin and and made in Japan.  The Japan ones are unmarked.  The Lefton and Kelvin ones have inkmarks on the back.  They are all the same mermaid design, just made by different manufacturers.  She is 6.5" tall and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

#284 - Vintage Japan Mermaid in Pink - $115

This is a sweet blonde mermaid wall plaque with a pink tailfin made in Japan.  This mermaid was actually made by ESD Lefton, Kelvin and and made in Japan.  The Japan ones are unmarked.  The Lefton and Kelvin ones have inkmarks on the back.  They are all the same mermaid design, just made by different manufacturers.  She is 6.5" tall and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

#282 - Vintage Fish Decanter - $32

This is a nice 8" fish decanter.  The tail fin screws on the body of the fish.  I think it is made out a green "milk glass" because the color is solid and not painted on.  It is real smooth to the touch.  The previous owner must have had this in the bath with lotion in it as there is a perfume smell inside.  They have a felt liner on the bottom so it won't scratch your counter.

#281 - Vintage Mermaid Ring or Trinket Holder - $32

This is a really pretty mermaid container I've had for about 8 years, it is dated on the bottom 2001.  It's like new as I never put anything in it and just had it on display.  So cute and uninque!  It's 3" wide  and 2.5" tall.  Great condition with no chips or breaks.

#280 - Vintage McFarlin Mermaid Baby Set - $22

Nice 3.5" Enesco Angel fish.  No chips or cracks.

#279 - Vintage Bradley Mermaid in Pink - $105

Wonderful Bradley Exclusives Mermaid with pink tailin.  She is so beautiful!  The mermaid is 5" tall and comes with a bubble.  No chips or cracks and the Bradley label is on the back.

#278 - Vintage McFarlin Mermaid Baby Set - $275

Before there was Freeman-McFarlin, there was McFarlin Potteries in El Monte.  This is a mermaid set made by McFarlin Potteries before Anthony Freeman joined the company.  It is a stunning set with the beautiful gold and multicolored tailfins.  What is really neat is that the type of gold used on the mirror is actually reflective so you can see the mermaid face in the mirror!  Such detail... these were made before Freeman-McFarlin even had factories so each was handpainted with loving care by the artists working for McFarlin.  This is probably the rarest set I have.  They are a must to have for those that collect Freeman-McFarlin not only for the beauty, but also for the history of the company.  When Anthony joined, the design changed completely.  The McFarlin Potteries sticker is on the back of the bubbles.  Excellent condition!  These would be dated in the 40's since Anthony did not join until 1951.

#277 - Vintage Enesco Seahorse Wall Plaque - $55

Back in the 50's you often see figures on plaques -  imagine it was because Deco decor was in back then.  This is a 9" Enesco wall plaque with a seahorse and connected stars.  The set has a pearl finish with gold highlighting.  It is thick and the Enesco label is on the back.  These can be taken off if you don't like the plaque, but you have to do it carefully (I did it on a set in green I had).  But they are so 50's just like they are!  Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

#276 - Vintage Enesco Fish Wall Plaque - $55

Back in the 50's you often see figures on on plaques - imagine it was because Deco decor was in back then.  This is a 9" Enesco wall plaque with a fish and connected bubbles.

#275 - Vintage PY Seahorse Set - $125

Colorful and whimsical seahorse pair made by PY.  They both have rhinestone eyes and the colors are very vibrant.  They are 6" tall and come with a set of connected bubbles.  Excellent shape except for a clean repaired neck break on the male that isn't noticable.

#274 - Vintage Norcrest 3 piece Whale Set - $225

#273 - Vintage Porcelain Bisque Mermaid in Blue - $125

Beautiful Norcrest mermaid with a porcelain bisque matte finish.  My camera is acting up.......will get more detailed description and better pictures later today.

#271 - Vintage Freeman McFarlin Mermaid - $175

This mermaid looks exactly like the very very rare Freeman McFarlin mermaid that only came in pink.  It even is hollow with a bar at the top that has a hole in it for hanging on the back like the Freeman McFarlin.  The only difference is that the whole piece is gloss whereas the Freeman McFarlin one had a bisque matte finish on the top part.  This may be a repro made in Japan as there is JAPAN stamped on the bottom back, or maybe Freeman McFarlin had some made in Japan for them.  At any rate, this is one cutest and rare mermaids.  My camera is acting up, I will get better pictures later today.

#270 - Vintage Bone China Minature Mermaid Sisters - $25

These mermaids are just precious and go anywhere that you need just a touch of mermaid!  The larger mermaid is 2" tall.  The baby needs to be positioned where he is because his left arm is broken off and he needs to "lean" on his sister... after all isn't that what big sisters are for?  :)  The sister is in fine condition.

#269 - Vintage PY Mermaid w/ Pink Tail - $115

PY 6" tall pretty mermaid mady by. PY was known for it's anthro items in kitchens but they made very few mermaids. They all have those wide eyes and such a playful look!. They only made one sister wall plaque set and the tailfin colors and design is gorgeous.  No chips or cracks.

#268 - Vintage PY Mermaid w/ Green Tail - $115

PY 6" tall pretty mermaid mady by. PY was known for it's anthro items in kitchens but they made very few mermaids. They all have those wide eyes and such a playful look!. They only made one sister wall plaque set and the tailfin colors and design is gorgeous.  No chips or cracks. .

#267 - Vintage Lefton Pink and Yellow Fish - $65

I believe this was made in Japan for Lefton.  On the back is still some of the cardboard from the original packing.  Lefton and Norcrest imported a lot of their products from Japan and often their label was on the box rather than on the piece itself.  The fish is 6" long and in excellent condition.

#266 - Vintage Lefton Girl with Pearls - $145

This is a beautiful mermaid.  She stands 6" tall and is sitting on her pearls.  The way the hair jets out from the wall on this mermaid is just wonderful.  Make sure you look at the side view on the larger pictures.  Great condition except there was a tiny chip on the end of the pearls on the left that has been repaired and glossed over - not noticable at all.

#265 - Vintage Lefton Mermaid on Wave w/ Fishing Pole - $165

This is a wonderful and rare mermaid made by Lefton. She is about 6" tall and is sitting on a wave holding a fishing pole. A blue bubble is included with her. There are holes in the back for hanging on the ball but the way the bottom is made, she also sits on a counter! Really pretty mermaid wall plaque with no chips or cracks.

#264 - Vintage Lefton Small Fish - $35

This is a fun fish to mix with mermaids because it is a smaller fish.  The details on it are wonderful and the pink color goes with a lot of different mermaids.  I use it in a number of my custom mermaid designs, even one where the fish is close to a mermaid's ear as if "gossiping" to the mermaid.  These small fish are hard to find and in my opionion make the mermaid wall displays a lot more fun when you pair a little fish up with a mermaid to make a "story."  He is in excellent condition and is just 2 3/4" tall.

#261 - Vintage Lefton Mermaid on Shell.  $89 each

7.5" tall gorgeous blonde mermaid wall plaques.  They have what appears to be starfish in their hair.  Each is sitting on a pearlescent shell and have a green tailfins.  They have the Japan sticker and the inkstamped number 4489 stamped on the back.  Great condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few paint skips but certainly nothing that detracts from their appearance.  Some people believe this set to have been made in Japan for Lefton. I personally think this set was made after the war when they lifted the tarrif for Japanese imports and there were a lot of reproductions flowing into the US from Japan because there is a set similar to this one with the Lefton sticker on it.  The faces on this set are prettier (again in my opionion) than the Lefton ones.

Please specify 261-A for the one on the left or 261-B for the one on the right.

#260 - Vintage Unusual Purple Tailed Mermaid - $75

What an unusual mermaid this one is, I have never seen her before so she must be quite rare.  She is made of ceramic with holes in the back for hanging - there are no markings on the back.  She is in good condition except there is a minor repair on the tip of her tailfin that can't even be seen on close inspection.  I've tried taking pictures of it but you can't tell.  :)  The repair is on the tip of the fin that dips down closer to her body.  She is 5.5" long and I have included a set of purple bubbles with her. Although this mermaid looks wonderful in the pictures and displaying on a wall, if you hold her up to your face you can see muted paint spatters.  It looks as if an airbrush was used for the purple paint and light tiny splatters got on her flesh.  You can see that in the larger pictures now that I've pointed it out to you.  Definitely nothing to detract from her looks but I wanted to mention it.

#259 - Vintage Bright Pink Wall plaques - $50

This whale is one of my favorites because of the chubby cheeks and cute round look to him.  He is 7" and has a Japan sticker on the back  He can hang on he wall or sit on a counter.  He is in excellent condition and makes such a cute go with for mermaids.

#258 - Vintage Lefton Mermaid on Wave w/ Fishing Pole - $165

This is a wonderful and rare mermaid made by Lefton. She is about 6" tall and is sitting on a wave holding a fishing pole. A pink bubble is included with her. There are holes in the back for hanging on the ball but the way the bottom is made, she also sits on a counter! Really pretty mermaid wall plaque with no chips or cracks.

#257 - Vintage Bright Pink Wall plaques - $10

I have never seen anything like these before!  I got them in a lot of nautical items at an estate sale.  They are huge - each one is 10" and they are a hot pink.  At first I thought maybe they were boiled egg plates because there are indents all in the body, then I turned them over and they have a label indicating they are wall plaques from "Ideal Gifts."  Surely not something many people would have.  :)

#255 - Vintage Bradley Mermaid in Blue w/ Mirror - $105

Beautiful 5.5" mermaid made by Bradley.  She has a lovely color blue tailfin and matching bubble.  There were some mermaids made with mirrors kind of similar to this one, only they had ponytails and were smaller.  Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks.  A bubble is included with her.

#254 - Umbrella Mermaid facing left - $55

This mermaid and the one below were a set but I have broken them up because they are so dynamic by themselves.  The mermaid has  shaded pink tailfin, rhinestone earrings and pretty flowers painted on the umbrella and on the raindrops.  She is about 5" tall and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. She is made of chalkware from a vintage Enesco mermaid mold by Debi Jo Ford.  This set was made about 5 years ago.  Debi Jo no longer designs mermaid wall plaques so this one is becoming more valuable thru the years since she was a well known artist.  The original Enesco set was white so this remake with jewels, pink colors and flowers is a real delight!

#250 - Vintage Lefton Tiny Fish - $30

What a cute tiny fish!  His is only 2" tall but he fits in with everything... fish, mermaids, seahorses.. and you can put him on top shells and starfish.  Some of the mermaids that have their arms sticking out from the wall can appear to be petting him if you stick him a little under the hand.  Can you tell I love this guy?!  I use him alot in my custom designs for mermaid sets.  Take a look at that section to get some ideas on how to display this guy.  Excellent condition.

#247 - Vintage Favor Fish Set - $40

This is a two fish set made by Favor, Inc out of Canada.  They are a really pretty shaded pink with pink rhinestone eyes.  The large one is 7.5" long and the smaller one is 6" long.  Great shape with no chips or cracks.

#246 - Vintage Freeman-McFarlin Mermaid Baby - $38 - Sold

This is a great example of a Freeman-McFarlin mermaid baby with a pink/gold tailfin and light blonde hair.  The wide eyes, matte finish on the top and gloss finish on the bottom, and the unique way even the back was designed are what makes Freeman-McFarllin mermaids so collectible.  They used a skintone pottery to make these so the skin color is not painted on.  There is a horizontal bar at the top on the back which has a hole so you attach wire in the hole to hang the mermaid on the wall.  Be sure to look at the big pictures if you are not familiar with Freeman-McFarlin - Anthony Freeman designed these so different than any other mermaid of the time and everyone should have at least one example of this manufacturer.  You often see this baby remade because over the years there was a ceramic and plastic mold made of her for individuals to make... but nothing can compare to the Freeman-McFarlin original.  She 6" tall and in excellent condition.   See my Freeman McFarlin page for more information on this manufacturer.

#245 - Vintage Wade Mermaid and Seahorse Vase - $125

Wonderful and rare Wade Mermaid and Seahorse Nautical Vase.  The vase was designed by William Harper, who worked for WADE in the 1950's & 60's. He became a major Royal Doulton designer. These vase uses nautical motifs with mermaids as the side handles, and underwater seahores and plants.  The vase is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

#241 - Vintage Miller Studio Fish Family - $22

Nice large Vintage Fish Family Wall Plaque set created by Miller Studio. This is one of the most pristine sets I have seen. It looks like it just came out of the box! Most Miller Studio chalkware pieces you see have paint wear and small chips because Miller didn't use a final sealer on the paint. So this is a real find to have a set in this condition. Mom is 9" long so this set makes a nice large display.  If you are looking for one still in the box, look at #331

#240 - Vintage Mermaid Doll like Figurine with Seaweed - $18

This is one of the doll like babies from a 6 piece set.  He is rare and not seen often.  The condition is wonderful and he doesn't show any wear except for the bottom where he was moved around on a counter.  He is about 3" long and made of some sort of celluloid type material.  I have this one and the one below sale.

#239 - Vintage Mermaid Doll Doll Like Figurine Diving - $18

This is one of the doll like babies from a 6 piece set that originated in Australia.  He is rare and not seen often.  The condition is wonderful and he doesn't show any wear except for the bottom where he was moved around on a counter.  He is made of some sort of celluloid type material and is about 3" tall.  I have this one and the one above for sale.

#238 - Vintage Green Seahorse Vase - $26

This is a gorgeous 7" seahorse vase in Green.  The green color almost matches the Lefton Mermaid tailfin color!  Wonderful piece that would look good with flowers or even some small hand towels coming from the top... hey, even a toothbrush holder!

#237 - Vintage Lefton Hawaiian Mermaid set - $235

This is a very delicate mermaid set with vibrant colors.  They look to me like Hawaiian mermaids because of the strawlike bra.  They are about 4.5" wide and 6.5" tall.  There are no cracks, chips or repairs which is astonighing for this set because of all the arms sticking out and the delicate tailfin.  The set was made by Lefton and the #1210 is on the back of each piece.  I hve included 3 gold bubbles with this set - there is quite a bit of wear on the bubbles but they still look fine on the wall.  I just thought the gold bubbles went so well with this elegant set.

#236 - Vintage Lefton Mermaid with Seahorses - $99

Rare Lefton 5" mermaid with two seahorses on a pearl chain. The chain attaches to the mermaid's hand and the seahorse collars by a piece of wire so could be taken off if you wanted to put the seahorses some place else. The tailfin on this one is wonderful, no fading/skips like you see on a lot of the dark green lefton tails. There are a couple things I want to point out. There is a little lighter spot on her elbow that is shown in the larger picture - it was done in manufacturing. The flower I know was attached after Lefton made the piece, but it looks like this one has been REattached at some point. Neither of these things are major but wanted to mention them since you can't see her up close and personal when you buy. AI have reduced her price substantially to reflect these flaws.

#235 - Vintage Ponytail Mermaid - $135

This mermaid is rare to find and she is soooo cute!  She was made in Japan back in the 1950's and is 5.5" tall.  The condition of this mermaid is excellent with no chips or cracks!  She originally came with an umbrella over her head rather than bubbles.  The umbrella is really rare to find and most of the time you see her sold by herself.  She looks wonderful with just about any type fish or whale that faces her.  She reminds us what live is all about - hugs and kisses!

#233 - Vintage 3-D Dolphin Plaque - $45

What a unique plaque this is.  It is 7" wide and in great condition with no chips or cracks.  On the left side you can faintly see "Jamacia."  I don't think this is 50 years old but it's not new.

#232a - Vintage Favor Fish Wall Plaque 6.5"- $35

This seems to be a favorite design by both Favor and Ceramicraft as you see this design done by both manufacturers.  This is a 6.5" chalkware fish made by Favor, Inc out of Canada.  She is shades of light pink with a little glitter on her for twinkle. The fish has a black rhinestones eye. Great shape with no chips or cracks.  The Favor marking is always on the largest one (6.5")

#232b - Vintage Favor Fish Wall Plaque 5"- $30

This seems to be a favorite design by both Favor and Ceramicraft as you see this design done by both manufacturers.  This is a 5" chalkware fish made by Favor, Inc out of Canada.  She is shades of light pink with a little glitter on her for twinkle. The fish has a black rhinestones eye. Great shape with no chips or cracks.  The Favor marking is always on the largest one (6.5").

#231 - Vintage Miller Studio Fish Family IN BOX- $40

Fish Family Wall Plaque set created by Miller Studio.  The set has never been unglued from the box.  Mom is 9" long.  Wonderful condition!  The box is just an open box with the fish glued to it.  Excellent find as you just don't see these in their original packing anymore so it's nice just to inspect and see how these old sets were originally packed.

#230 - Lefton Mr. Funny face fish - $28

This is a very unique fish made by Lefton.  I call him Mr. Funny Face.  He is white with a bit of green and gold.  The finish is a semii-matte.   The end tailfin (the middle back one in the picture) has been repaired at the bottom.  It was a piece about 1/2" that broke off the tip of the tail.   Because it was such a clean break, it has been repaired so you can't even see it from the front.  You should, however, be able to spot it on the picture I took of the back.  He is 5.5" tall.

#229 - Vintage Japan Mermaid with Starfish Set - $95 each

This is such a pretty mermaid wall plaque set made back in the 50's. The vertical one leaning on a bubble is 6" tall and the horizontal one is 4.75" tall.  They are made of ceramic to hang on the wall but the way the horiontal one is made, she can also sit on the counter.  They are in excellent condition with no chips and cracks.  I have included a gold bubble for the vertical one to rest her hand as I think it addes to the look of the display.

#228 - Vintage Norcrest Mermaid on shell - $165

This is one of the rarer of the Norcrest mermaids.  You see them on fish a lot but this one with the long shell is most hard to find.  She has a pink tailfin and the shell has a wonerful multicolored irridescent shine.  She is 6.5" tall and still retains the Norcrest label - it also has the Norcrest P-2 inkmark on the back.  Wonderful shape with no chips, cracks or repairs.

#227 - Vintage Tilso Ponytail Wall Plaques/Figurines - $170 -

Finally the whole set of these Tilso girls... and in BLUE!  You see them mostly in green but Tilso also made this set in Blue and Pink.  They are so unique because you can hang them on the wall or sit them on a counter.  Another unique feature on the Tilso mermaids is they had flowers and jewelry as part of the mold.  The smaller mermaids are 4.5" tall and the larger one is 5.5" tall.  This set is in it's original packaging and still glued to the card.  I took them out of the plastic package so I could inspect them and to take a picture.  If you click on the small picture to the right, you will see larger pictures of them.  The last 3 pictures show another set in blue that I had not still attached.  I have included it so you can see how they look without the card hanging on the wall or sitting on a counter, plus show the back.  Condition is excellent, mint!

#225 -Vintage Green Tailed Mermaid with Pink Fish - $95 each

This is one of the most colorful mermaids with the shades of green on their tailfins and the pink fish - just gorgeous, vibrant colors!  The mermaid was made in Japan most likely for Norcrest because their tailfins and faces are similar to the 3 blue tailed mermaid set Norcrest made.  The mermaids are around 4 /2" and 5.5" tall.  Excellent condition with no chips, cracks.  I do have another set of these if you want to buy just one to complete your set - the price individually is $115.

Please refer to 225-A for the one on the left; and 225-B for the one on the right.

#224 - Vintage RARE Freeman-McFarlin Fish - $48

This is really large fish standing 12" tall and 9" wide. It was made by Freeman McFarlin (designed by Maynard Anthony Freeman) and is a gorgeous pink with a pearl finish that picks up highlights of different colors where the light hits the high points. Just to put the size of this fish in perspective, I have put one of my Freeman McFarlin mermaids nose to nose with him... and the Freeman mermaid is an inch taller than the other ponytail mermaids! You can see this fish makes a statement on the wall, and a cute statement at that with the typical big, wide eyes, full lipa and playful look that Anthony Freeman was famous for designing.  The sticker is long gone on the back but there is no mistaking a Freeman-McFarlin because their pieces were hollow ceramic with a horizontal bar at the top that has a hole in it to attach wire to hang on the wall.
